    마스터 DB서버(192.168.10.1)에서 test 테이블을 만들고 내용을 insert 합니다.
    미러링 DB서버(192.168.10.2)에서도 test 테이블을 만들고 내용을 insert 합니다.
    > 일단은 이렇게 수동으로 양서버에 같은 데이타를 넣어놔야 합니다.

    마스터 DB서버에서..
    MS-SQL Server Management Studio > 복제 > 로컬 게시
    > 'neulwon_게시' 를 우클릭하여 '속성'을 선택 합니다.

    좌측메뉴중에 '아티클' 을 선택합니다. (처음 선택시 로딩하는데 시간이 조금 걸립니다.)
    그러면 우측에 동기화 테이블 리스트가 나오게 되는데
    옵션으로 '선택 표시된 개체만 목록에 표시' 가 체크되어있습니다.
    이것을 해제하면 추가했던 테이블 test 가 보입니다.

    추가한 테이블을 선택하면 간단한 안내말이 나옵니다. '예' 를 클릭합니다.
    그리고 '확인' 버튼을 누릅니다.


    2) 복제 설정

    마스터 DB서버에서..
    MS-SQL Server Management Studio > 복제 > 로컬 게시
    > 'neulwon_게시' 를 우클릭하여 '스냅숏 에이전트 상태 보기'를 선택 합니다.

    '시작' 버튼을 누르면 새로운 병합처리를 위한 작업이 진행됩니다.

    (DB크기에 따라 시간이 좌우됩니다. 수분 ~ 수십분 소요)


    ※ 참고

    1) 미러 DB서버에서 할일은 없습니다.
    마스터 DB서버 복제 설정 후, 미러 DB서버 '동기화 상태 보기' 에서 상태를 보면
    '현재 스냅숏 파일은 최신 파일이 아니므로 스냅숏을 다시 실행해야 합니다.' 라는 메세지가
    나타날 수 있으나 아무런 설정도 하지 않은채 조금만 기다리면 자동으로 동기화 됩니다.
    (정확히 말하자면 마스터 서버의 '스냅숏 에이전트 상태보기' - '시작' 작업 완료 후)

    2) 테이블 동기화 해제시
    '아티클' 항목에서 해당 테이블 체크 해제 후, '확인' 버튼을 누르고
    '스냅숏 에이전트 상태 보기'에서 '시작' 버튼을 눌러 새로운 병합 처리를 합니다.

    - 설치할 필요없음
    - dmidecode 명령은 서버 하드웨어, 바이오스 정보를 system DMI 테이블에서 읽어온다.
    시스템의 현재 configuration 상태뿐만 아니라 최대 지원가능한 설정 정보까지도 불러온다.
    예를 들어, 시스템의 현재 RAM 정보와 최대 확장가능한 RAM 정보까지도 확인할 수 있다.

    dmidecode 의 output 형태는 다음과 같다.
    Record Header: Handle {record id}, DMI type {dmi type id}, {record size} bytes
Record Value: {multi line record value}
    • record id: Unique identifier for every record in the DMI table.
    • dmi type id: Type of the record. i.e BIOS, Memory etc.,
    • record size: Size of the record in the DMI table.
    • multi line record values: Multi line record value for that specific DMI type.

    메모리를 얼마나 확장할 수 있는지 를 확인하기 위해 /proc/meminfo 명령을 사용하여 현재 메모리 총량을 확인할 수 있다.

    위 예는 현재 시스템이 1 GB 메모리를 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있지만, 이것이 1GB 1개인지, 512MB 2개인지, 256MB 4개인지는 알 수가 없다.

    dmidecode 명령을 사용하여 memory 슬롯에서 각각 사용되고 있는 RAM 크기를 알 수 있다.

    아래 예는 memory slot 이 4개이며, 현재 슬롯 1,2 에 512 MB RAM 이 각각 장착되어 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

What are good default values? How much memory should I allocate to the db if I have X amount of ram? What is a good starting point for the mysql config files?

    You’re not really Googling for a my.cnf to use are you? You probably are, Shame on you! The best thing to do is to test before you make changes, and find the best configuration for your application. But your not going to are you? oh well I might as well accommodate you. I make no claims these will work for everyone. In fact if you hire me later on I may look at you funny after I analyze your system, and may call you funny names behind your back for using the wrong settings. Because there are a lot of people out their who are only database folks 5 minutes at a time (that’s what these posts are about), they are probably going to stick the my-huge.cnf and go with that anyways. So why not throw out some common my.cnf’s I use. Keep in mind, these are the most common, they may cause weird things to happen in some environments… that’s why we always say test and benchmark before using. But if your googling for it, chances are your going to put it in anyways:)

    And for those who spend more then 5 minutes a day as a DBA, please post your comments and make me look foolish for forgetting your favorite parameter. Remember these are generic starting points, for people who are not going to have a ton of time.

    알카텔-루슨트 사의 옴니스위치 6850 스위치를 사용하게 되었습니다.

    1~24 1G UTP 포트가 있고, 21~24 네 포트는 GBIC 으로 꼽아 광연결이 가능하도록 되어 있구요,
    25,26 두 개의 XFP 10G 포트가 있습니다.

    콘솔 연결시 aOS 운영시스템의 CLI (Command Line Interface)가 존재하는데,
    시스코 카탈리스트의 iOS와 유사하게 동작하였습니다.

    우선 콘솔 연결을 하는데, 기존의 콘솔 케이블로는 연결이 되지 않았고,
    장비에서 제공하는 RJ45 <=> RS232(암) 어답터가 오는데 RJ45에 일반 UTP 랜케이블로
    옴니스위치의 콘솔에 연결하고 RS232 부분을 콘솔 연결할 컴의 시리얼에 연결하면 됩니다.

    일단 콘솔로 연결되면

    2.2) VLAN 생성
    -> vlan 99
    (번호만 지정하면 된다)

    2.3) VLAN 삭제

    3) L3 스위치 구성
    1~12를 VLAN 100으로 지정하고 20.20.20.1/24 IP 설정

    위와 같이 /flash 에는 working cerified 폴더가 있는데,
    working에서 작업을 하게 되고, reload 명령어로 reboot을 할 수 있는데,

    이라 하면 working 디렉터리의 설정값으로 부팅을 합니다.

    실제 설정 작업을 하면 이것은 running-config 라는 메모리에 저장되는 것이고

    와 동일한 명령어로
    -> copy running-config working
    메모리의 설정 내용을 working 폴더에 복사하는 것입니다.

    또한,
    -> copy working certified
    라고 하여 working 폴더에 내용을 certified 폴더로 일치를 시킬 수 있습니다.

    -> cd working
    에서 dir 명령으로 보면, 부팅 이미지 파일들이 있고 설정파일인 boot.cfg 파일이 있습니다.

    -> cp boot.cfg boot_L3.cfg
    위의 명령으로 현재 설정을 다른 이름으로 복사해 놓을 수 있습니다.

    -> vi boot.cfg
    또한 vi 명령도 수행하여 그 내용을 변경할 수 있습니다.


    8) 설정 초기화

    9) 포트 미러링

    As mentioned earlier, the master and slave database server do not need to be entirely in sync, with all databases and all tables from the master replicated onto the slave. By default, the slave will replicate everything, but you can change this behavior with the following options in the slave configuration file:

Well yes, but this tutorial aims to be more complete than the others out there. OK I’m going to assume you know what MongoDB is, so I’m not going to go over “what mongoDB is” or “what NoSQL is”. I’m going to do this series in a little different styling than my other tutorial series have been, so let just jump right in.

    If you have issues with MongoD not starting – something about “/data/db” missing, then you should create the directory. In *Nix: “mkdir /data/db”, in Win “mkdir c:data” then “mkdir c:datadb”.

    As you can see, Mongo DB automatically will connect to the local host and default port. Yes, MySQL will do the same if you have the directives in your “php.ini” setup to do this. IE. “mysql.default_host”, “mysql.default_user” and “mysql.default_password”. You might notice that by default MongoDB doesn’t have a user name or password setup. I will go over how to set that up in part 2.

    Once again, MongoDB will automatically create something for us if it doesn’t exist. In this example, it create our “user” table.     You might have noticed that we used an array to define our “row” of data, which are called “documents”. On the insert method, the second argument will set the query to do a “safe insert”. This will allow us to find out if the query executed properly. If not set, it will not get that information. So I would set it to true if you want to be able to debug your queries. If you are wondering about the password, it’s the MD5 hash for “password”.

    The MongoDB support in PHP has function to pull a single document, or all the documents. Once again, we use arrays to define something, in this example, we define our constraint.

    The MongoDB extension has a function to perform updates. The first argument is an array of constraints, IE “WHERE {expression}”. The second is the data we want to update and what we want to update it with. Pretty simple, right?

    MongoDB has method for creating index name “ensureIndex”. The first parameter is an array of what we want to index and the value is ether 1 or -1. 1 means that the index will sort the data for this in an ascending manor, while -1 will sort it in a descending manor. The second parameter are extra options. In this example I tell it to make what ever I’m indexing as a unique index, that way I don’t end up with multiple “jsmith” entries. Also, I’ve told it to drop any documents that have duplicates of the data in the “login” “column”. Another note is that “columns” in MongoDB should be called “elements”, since we are really dealing with arrays.

    Lets make sure our index is working shall we?

    These are the steps I took to create a centralised location of system logs. In this scenario multiple servers (earth, venus, mars) send their system logs to a central server (sun 192.168.1.1). I’m not going to cover the configuration of Apache, MySql except were it applies to Log Analyzer. Most of the servers are running Red Hat / CentOS 5. In this setup I am using 192.168.0.0 as the subnet and topsecret as the password. Change as appropriate. More info here.

    Central Server (sun):
    On the central server (sun) which will be running Log Analyzer, these steps only need to be taken once. If you only want to add more servers sending their syslogs to sun skip this section:

    yum install httpd php mysql php-mysql mysql-server wget rsyslog rsyslog-mysql

    Create the rsyslog database structure in MySQL:

    mysql -u root -p < /usr/share/doc/rsyslog-mysql-3.22.1/createDB.sql

    Create the MySQL user:

    mysql -u root -p mysql
    mysql> GRANT ALL ON Syslog.* TO rsyslog@localhost IDENTIFIED BY ‘topsecret’;
    mysql> flush privileges;
    mysql> exit

    Edit the rsyslog config file:

    vi /etc/rsyslog.conf

    Add the following at the top:

    $AllowedSender UDP, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.0/16
    $AllowedSender TCP, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.0/16

    Now browse the website e.g. http://sun/loganalyzer
    Follow the installer adding your MySQL credentials when requested.

    Amend the firewall on the central (sun) server to allow other servers:

    vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables

    Add:

    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp -m udp –dport 514 -j ACCEPT
    -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p tcp -m tcp –dport 514 -j ACCEPT

    Restart iptables:

    service iptables restart

    Remote Servers
    Configure Other Servers (mars, venus, earth) to send their syslogs to the central server (sun):
    Install rsyslog:

    yum install rsyslog

    Edit the config:

    vi /etc/rsyslog.conf

    Add:

    *.info @192.168.1.1:514

    I add this on line number 2 below $ActionFileDefaultTemplate RSYSLOG_TraditionalFileFormat
    Set rsyslog as the default syslogger:

    /sbin/chkconfig syslog off
    /sbin/chkconfig rsyslog on
    service syslog stop
    service rsyslog start

    Using *.info could collect a lot of messages so customise as necessary, for example changing to *.crit will collect less messages of higher importance.
